Review & Comments
Initially I wasn't excited about a book that focused on Amun because he always seemed so ... well, silent. Not there. But this book illuminates his personality and his history. He wasn't at all what I expected.
The real star of the show, however, is Haidee. Sure she's got secrets and mysteries and she's had a terrible life - but her character swims through it all, not untouched, but as at home as a predatory fish.
The side plot with Strider, Paris, and William was fun, but it didn't quite satisfy my urge to reconnect with the rest of the Lords.
